The Language Centre of the University Fribourg was created in 2008. Its principal mission is to teach second/foreign languages at university level. The Centre applies the principles of the Common European Framework of Reference in three broad areas: learning, teaching and evaluation of competencies. As a university institution, it also develops applied research at local, regional, and international levels and participates in the transfer of technology with other Higher Education institutions.
